Join us for our 5th Annual fundraising walk!
Sunday, October 1, 2017 | Noon – 3:00 pm
Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children (formerly the Massachusetts Hospital School)
3 Randolph Street | Canton, MA 02021
This outdoors event is a great (and inclusive!) opportunity for families and children with special needs to come together for a good cause. We’ll kick off the afternoon with face painting, balloon fun, and craft activities, while our DJ sets the musical mood. Bring a picnic lunch – we will provide snacks, chips, drinks and treats! Beginning at 1:30, the group will enjoy a relaxing stroll through the hospital’s scenic walking trails. Registration is free through First Giving – participants are encouraged to set a fundraising goal of $100 to support the work of the Federation. Try asking 10 people to sponsor at $10 each! Those who raise $100 or more will receive an event T-shirt.
Walk, Roll, Shobble*, Stroll shares its date with the Open House for the Equestrian Center at Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children! This means: in addition to all the great entertainment we’ll have in store, you’ll have the chance to visit the Center, tour their barn, and meet the friendly horses, goats, pigs, and bunnies.
KS Sounds Unlimited is no stranger to Walk, Roll, Shobble*, Stroll! He has been our DJ for many seasons. Hope you're all ready for a Conga line! Kevin can also be found on Facebook.
Our 2017 Walk will feature face painting by Silly Sally's! Silly Sally has helped with our face painting activity for a number of years, and we are so happy to have her team back once again! Sally can also be found on Facebook and Twitter.
We will even have our own team of superheroes to help us enjoy the day! The Band of Heroes are a volunteer group dedicated to fundraising and making character appearances for all types of charities and causes.
Boston Parents Paper has been a friend of the Federation for many years. They are an award-winning publication that has been sharing information and resources with Massachusetts parents for three decades! Stay up-to-date with BPP via Facebook and Twitter.
