Please email transition@fcsn.org to be alerted of other upcoming transition-related events.\nPlanning a Life (PAL): College & Beyond \nDate: Saturday\, July 25\, 2026Time: 10:00 AM–2:30 PM (Doors open at 9:30 AM)Location: Schrafft’s Center\, 529 Main Street\, Charlestown\, MA \nSpaces are limited: For youth and young adults with disabilities ages 16–21\, their families / caregivers\, and the professionals who support them. \nThinking about life after high school? \nWhether you’re considering college or just starting to think about what’s next\, FCSN’s Planning a Life (PAL): College & Beyond can help you learn more about your choices and plan for the future. \nThis interactive\, one-day\, in-person event brings together students\, families\, and professionals to explore multiple pathways to college in a welcoming and supportive environment. \nExplore Your OptionsLearn about college pathways from staff and students who have attended: \n\nMAIPSE program\nCommunity colleges\nFour-year colleges and universities\n\n  \nStudents Share Their College Success Stories and StrugglesHear directly from students with disabilities who are either in or recently finished their college experience. They’ll share: \n\nWhat college is really like\nWhat surprised them most\nChallenges they faced and how they overcame them\nAdvice they would give to future students\n\n  \nThe Transition from High School to CollegeLearn what’s different between high school and college\, and how to access resources to prepare for that difference: \n\nFinding mental health resources\nRequesting and accessing accommodations\nBalancing class\, work\, and extracurricular activities\nAdding structure to unstructured days\nAnd more!\n\nBring your questions and learn from people who have been where you are. \n  \nWho Will Attend? \n\nYouth and young adults with disabilities ages 16–21\nParents and caregivers\nEducators\, transition professionals\, and service providers\n\n  \nImportant Information \n\nRegistration is required.\nSpace is limited.\nThis is not a drop-off event. Participants who are not their own guardian must have a parent or caregiver remain on site for the entire event.\n\n  \nCost \n\nParents/Caregivers: $25\nYouth: Free with a registered parent or caregiver\nYoung adults who are their own guardian: $25\nProfessionals: $50\n\n  \nScholarships are availableWe do not want cost to be a barrier.
