Bonnie Thompson
Central Regional Coordinator, Family TIES

As the parent of a young adult with hemiplegic cerebral palsy, Bonnie has gained valuable experience navigating many systems of health care, public services, and community resources for children and families. She is a current adviser on the Massachusetts Health Quality Partners (MHQP) Consumer Health Council, a member of the New England Regional Genetics Network (NERGN) Advisory Committee and a past Commissioner and Co-Chair of the MA Catastrophic Illness and Children Relief Fund (CICRF). She has experience working directly with families, assisting them to accessing supports and services so their children can thrive. Throughout her time as a family advocate, Bonnie remains steadfast in her commitment to increasing opportunities for patients and families to partner with their professional allies in their own health care and to influence improvements in the systems that support them.
