Presenter: Deborah Flaschen, Founder and Executive Chair 3LPlace

Topic: Information, engagement, and advocacy: critical elements in supporting your young adult as they transition from school-based services to the adult disability ecosystem.

Deborah will discuss steps and present materials that she believes will prove helpful to individuals and families as they navigate the daunting transition from the holistic world of IEP- based services to the balkanized world of adult services.  She will also touch briefly on how the pandemic has made the transition even more challenging to negotiate.
