Ivone Rego is the Communications Coordinator at FCSN. After decades of working in the film industry, Ivone’s focus shifted upon receiving a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder for her son. Like many others, this became the catalyst that pushed her to become a better informed parent, and now Special Education Consultant and Advocate. Ivone completed trainings at the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA); Mass Families Organizing for Change (MFOFC) – Advocacy Bootcamp and Family Leadership Series; Department of Developmental Services (DDS) – Regional Leadership Series; The Federation for Children with Special Needs – PTI and RTSC; as well as Cultural Diversity, Trauma and Social-Emotional IEP development, Mandated Reporting, Human Rights and more. She is currently completing her Pre-Law degree, while continuing to dabble in theatre, film, and the art of laughter.
