Ivone Rego is the Transition Projects Manager at FCSN. She has worked previously at the Federation in the RTSC project as the Project Associate and, more recently, as the Communications Coordinator. Ivone has two awesome kids and a sweet yet feisty dog named Maurice. After decades of working in the film industry, Ivone’s focus shifted upon receiving a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder for her son. Like many others, this became the catalyst that pushed her to become a better-informed parent and now Special Education Consultant and Advocate. Ivone completed training at the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA); Mass Families Organizing for Change (MFOFC) – Advocacy Bootcamp and Family Leadership Series; Department of Developmental Services (DDS) – Regional Leadership Series; The Federation for Children with Special Needs – PTI and RTSC; as well as Cultural Diversity, Trauma, and Social-Emotional IEP development, Mandated Reporting, Human Rights and more. She continues to dabble in theatre, film, and the art of laughter.
