Federation Staff Updates

New MassPAC Coordinator: Meet Leslie M. Leslie

The Federation for Children with Special Needs is pleased to announce Leslie M. Leslie has joined our staff as the new project coordinator for MassPAC (Massachusetts Special Education Parent Advisory Council). Leslie is a parent of two sons and a co-founder of the Westborough Special Education PAC. The organization, in its 10th year, holds monthly programs, informal coffees for parents, hosts a Web site, conducts fund raising activities, and staffs Understanding Our Differences, a disability awareness program in the schools.

Leslie states, "We currently have a positive, active PAC which works closely with the school to advise the district on problem issues." Among her accomplishments, Leslie cites the creation of an 'easy to use' special education procedural manual for parents in her district, created by a collaborative team of parents, teachers, and administrators.

The Federation looks forward to her leadership of MassPAC and her support of families across the state. For more information about the MassPAC, call Leslie at 617-399-8307 or visit www.masspac.org.
