To build a strong understanding of the Family Engagement Framework—including its guiding principles\, core components\, and vision for equitable\, culturally responsive family partnerships; and \n2. SESP volunteers have the legal authority of a parent or legal guardian to attend special education team meetings\, approve or reject IEPs\, and\, if necessary\, file a complaint or appeal.
