PCTI Annual Schedule/Locations

PCTIs are generally held once weekly for 8 weeks, which previously included an optional ninth day of training for those who wanted to complete the Information Center internship. As a result of the current pandemic, Summer 2020 PCTIs will take place online synchronously (live online) and asynchronously (self-paced online, facilitated by Federation staff). The Federation is currently in the process of planning ways in which to offer the optional ninth day to those wanting to complete this additional session of training. Additional details about this as well as upcoming PCTI dates for the 2020 – 2021 school year are forthcoming.

In addition to class time, participants are expected to complete approximately 1.5 hours per week of additional coursework virtually. The virtual coursework will include videos, discussion boards, blogs, and other media that support and complement the course material. We highly recommend that PCTI attendees have some familiarity with special education procedures. A list of free workshops presented by the Federation can be found here.

PCTI often fills quickly and Pre-Registration is required. We recommend registering early.  Preference will be given to youth with disabilities and family members of children with special needs. Attendance on Day 1 of class is required. Please register only if you can attend the first day. Registration closes one business day prior to class or when the class roster is full.
