Regional Parent Coordinator, GR Boston/Family TIES
Sara Asmerom is the Greater Boston Regional Coordinator for Family TIES of Massachusetts. She is trilingual who speaks Amharic, Tigrinya, and English. As a parent of a 20-year-old with complex medical health care needs, she has learned to become a strong advocate. Sara graduated from nursing school and is an active leader for the East African community. She is the cofounder of National EthioEritrea, which is an online support group network for families with all special needs. A leader for Massachusetts local branch of EthioEritrea and taking in from her own experience, she helps empower parents in her community to help them become advocates for their own children.
