Stay Connected with the PCTI Community

A huge part of PCTI is about building a community of families and professionals who are dedicated to supporting students in special education. We hope participants will form connections with each other during this course and develop a network of support to share resources, advice, and information regarding special education processes. Below are some ways to stay connected with the PCTI Community.

What’s New: PCTI Quarterly Newsletter

What’s New is PCTI’s Quarterly Newsletter which provides information on policy updates, useful resources, upcoming events, and volunteer opportunities to all PCTI grads. Read our past issues!

Join the PCTI Facebook Group!

This Facebook Group is private and is open to anyone who has taken part in the PCTI course. This is a great place to ask questions, share resources, stay updated with special education policy, learn about upcoming events, and meet other PCTI graduates. Since this group is private, and you can join by request. Join the Group today!

Monthly Networking Series

The Network Series is provided for PCTI Graduates, Special Education Surrogate Parents (SESPs) and Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC) Chairpersons. Sessions are generally held on the second Thursday of each month during the school year (September-May) from 12:00 -1:00 PM as a Lunch and Learn conversation. The networking series provides opportunities to learn more about special education topics from guest speakers, ask questions, and share stories and experiences. All PCTI graduates, and SESPs, and SEPAC Chairpersons will automatically receive registration notifications for each session.

Continuing Support at FCSN

The PCTI offers continuing support for interns and PCTI graduates.

If you have questions or need assistance fill out this intake form or call 617-236-7210.

The Information Center interns work closely with Federation staff, who are available to provide support as required for individual interns.  Our staff is available for consultation throughout the Information Center internship and beyond, should questions arise.

If you have completed PCTI and would like to complete the course again as a refresher, you may complete the course a second time at half price or by volunteering for about 10 hours during the course as a peer mentor. If you are interested, please contact Emma Gregory at egregory@fcsn.org
