She first came to the Federation as a parent seeking information and support after one of her children was diagnosed with a disability. After attending FCSN workshops and conferences, she joined the Parent Consultant Training Institute to deepen her knowledge of special education laws and procedures in order to advocate for her son.<br \/>\nD\u00e9bora holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and an Associate Degree in Visual Arts. She is a LEND Fellow through the UMass Chan Medical School Shriver Center, and is currently pursuing a Master in Public Administration (MPA) in Disability &#038; Health Policy at Suffolk University.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>D\u00e9bora Curella is the Coordinator of Outreach and Engagement, providing trainings, resources, and assistance to bilingual families navigating special education and the systems that support children and youth with disabilities.
