SESP volunteers have the legal authority of a parent or legal guardian to attend special education team meetings, approve or reject IEPs, and, if necessary, file a complaint or appeal. SESPs spend about 30-40 hours a year volunteering their time.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"o9v6fnle cxmmr5t8 oygrvhab hcukyx3x c1et5uql\">In this Orientation Training, you will learn about the role of an SESP, how traumatic experiences can impact learning, and how to incorporate the appropriate supports into the IEP.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Please arrive 5 minutes before the start of the training. The training will start on time and we will not be able to admit attendees after the training begins.
