
Welcome to Visions of Community 2023 Virtual Conference
Visions of Community (VOC) is FCSN’s annual conference for parents, youth, and professionals caring for children with special needs. The day includes intensive workshops on topics such as IEPs and other special education issues, the impact of trauma, self-care, health services and benefits, and transition planning, offered in ASL, English, Chinese, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Somali, Spanish, Vietnamese, and more. Exhibitor registration will open in the upcoming weeks.
This year, on March 11th, VOC will host an in-person event for transition aged youth and their parents from 1 to 4 pm at the Schrafft Center in Charlestown. The cost of this event is included the cost of the VOC conference – $15 ($50 off to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first Special Education law in Massachusetts!)
Presentations include Planning Your Life (with MassFamilies), the Big Difference Between High School and College, panels with young adults and interactive games with Partners of Youth with Disabilities (PYD) and Easterseals!
