When is the 2020 Visions of Community Conference (VOC)?
The VOC conference is on February 29, 2020 at the Seaport World Trade Center from 7:30am to 4:15pm.

Who attends the VOC Conference? How many people will be at the Conference?
Our conference is attended by over 1000 parents, caregivers and professionals.

How do I get to the Seaport? Where can I park?
You can find directions and information about parking here.

Can I get to the conference by public transportation?
The World Trade Center station, located adjacent to the hotel, is serviced by the MBTA Silver Line bus.

What social media will FCSN be using at VOC? 
FCSN will be posting on Facebook and Twitter throughout the day.  A Conference App is available this year to make your day a more engaging experience. Following registration, download our Conference App for live updates, conference details, networking, and more. Please check back here in February for more information.

What should I wear?
The forecast for Saturday is a high of 36°. Although a cold morning, no precipitation is expected. Dress comfortably and in business-casual style. We recommend wearing layers of clothing, as workshop rooms can vary in temperature.

When does registration open?
Registration will open January 6, 2020 and will close on February 21, 2020.

How much does it cost to attend VOC?
Registration is $125.00. We are offering an early bird special price of $100 from January 6, 2020 to February 6, 2020 so sign up early to take advantage of this special offer!

What meals are included? Will there be meals available for those with dietary restrictions?
Lunch offerings of assorted sandwiches, mixed green salad, assorted (nut free) cookies, soda and coffee are included in your registration cost. Vegetarian and Gluten-free/Sugar-free options will be available.
There will be snacks that are available during morning check in and include whole fresh fruit and granola bars along with coffee.

Are there scholarships available?
There are a limited number of family scholarships available. Please contact Ivone Rego at for more information with “VOC Family Scholarship” in the subject line. 

What if I change my mind after registering for a workshop?
If you would like to attend a workshop that is different than one of the three you selected when you register, then on the day of the conference you are welcome to go to the room of the workshop you would like to attend to see if there are any opening seats left.

Will any of the conference sessions be live-streamed or be accessible through video recordings?
We will have a select number of workshops that will be live-streamed the day of the event. For more information on which social media pages you will be able to view the broadcast, visit our conference live-stream page.

Special Accommodations
Will FCSN be providing transportation to the Seaport World Trade Center?
If you would like to utilize our free transportation services, we will be offering 4 designated locations across Massachusetts. You can submit your transportation request during registration. The buses will leave from Brockton, Lawrence, Springfield and Worcester. Seats are limited and are available on a first come first serve basis. 

Is there American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation available?
We will have an American Sign Language interpreter at our morning welcome and keynote addresses. If you need ASL or Cart, please call Ruth Diaz at 617-399-8305 or email You must make the request prior to February 10th to allow time to make the arrangements.

Can I bring my child/children with me?
Our conference is an opportunity for adults to learn, network, and engage in self-care. Onsite childcare will NOT be provided and we kindly ask that only youth(14-22 years old) registered for our Youth Forum arrive with you. The Federation will offer limited stipends to support childcare expenses for low income families. Please contact the following staff for more information based on your primary language:

I require the use of a wheelchair/walker/motorized scooter. Is there a special drop off area?
