Join us: \nFriday\, May 2\, 2025\n8am to 4pm – virtually\nand\nSaturday\, May 3\, 2025\n10am to 2pm – in person\nAddress: Worcester State University – 486 Chandler St 01602 \nFor families of students on IEPs between the ages of 14 and 22 (and the students themselves!) who are curious about college or would like to know more about the difference between high school and college\, this conference is for you! \nThese two-day conferences will contain a wide variety of information around transition planning with a focus on postsecondary education and independent living.  Friday is virtual and Saturday is a half-day\, in-person event for you and your young person (with lunch included – Let us know if you have food allergies.) \nOn Saturday\, we are offering a student track of presentations including Disability Disclosure\, a discussion panel with self-advocates\, and a chance to socialize and have fun! \nPAL: College and Beyond presentation topics  include the following:\n\nFrom High School to College = Big Difference\nGoing to College\nHealthcare Transition\nCollege Navigator …. PAL can provide parents and professionals with useful skills and information necessary to support youth as they prepare for full\, productive lives during and after high school. We will discuss ways parents\, caregivers\, and professionals can encourage independence and self-advocacy in their children. \nFriday events will be virtual.  \nEmail transition@fcsn.org with any questions. \nLocation: The Zoom link will be sent upon registering. \nCost: $95 for one parent/caregiver\, and $125 for two parents/caregivers. \n\nScholarships are available! We do not share personal information nor do we sell to third parties. \n \nPlanning A Life (Making the Most of Transition Support) \nSaturday\, November 4th 9:00 to 1:30 (in-person) \nPlanning a Life (PAL) is a two-day transition conference for parents\, caregivers\, and professionals working with postsecondary transition-age youth (14 -22). PAL can provide parents and professionals with useful skills and information necessary to support youth as they prepare for full\, productive lives during and after high school. We will discuss ways parents\, caregivers\, and professionals can encourage independence and self-advocacy in their children. \nThis year\, the Planning A Life conferences will be held on a Friday and a Saturday. On Fridays\, all presentations will be virtual. On Saturdays\, PAL will be in person at the locations indicated below. Youth participants are invited and encouraged to attend the in-person day of Planning A Life for fun\, educational activities\, and community building!
