Originally from Curitiba, Brazil, Aceriane came to the United States over 20 years ago after studying physics at the State University of Ponta Grossa.\u00a0 She has been involved with the Federation for 13 years, when she learned her child had a disability. She is a graduate of the Parent Consultant Training Institute and has been a workshop presenter for the Federation for many years. She brings insight, hands-on experience, and a solid understanding of how to effectively navigate the special education system.
