1. Program description: When you opt-in to receive FCSN text messages, you will receive text messages (SMS/MMS) to the mobile number you provided. Messages may include a response to an inquiry, surveys/polls, information about our services or appointment confirmations.

2. Program frequency: Message frequency will vary depending on the conversation.

3. Opt out: You can opt-out of this service at any time. Reply “STOP” to the phone number. After you text “STOP”, you will receive a final reply to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. Contact us if you want begin receiving messages.

4. Help: If you are experiencing any issues, you can reply with the keyword HELP. Or, you can get help from us by sending an email with the subject line “Text Magic Help” to info@fcsn.org.

5. Interruption: Carriers, such as AT&T, are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

6. Costs: Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, please contact your wireless provider.

7. Confidentiality Policy: FCSN’s Confidentiality Policy is designed to safeguard sensitive information about the families we serve. The protection and handling of confidential information received from families is vital to the work of the entire organization. Individuals with access to confidential information are required to maintain confidentiality and exercise caution when discussing sensitive matters or handling physical and digital documents. Access to confidential information is limited to individuals with a clear “need to know” or who require it to assist the family or perform their job duties.

Sharing or disclosing confidential information to unauthorized parties is prohibited.  Any information about families is released to outside sources only with the written consent of the family, or when authorized by the Executive Director, and as required by law*.

*Pursuant to our contracts with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the MA Departments of Education, Health and Senior Services, and Human Services, FCSN  Board members, staff, and volunteers are subject to the provisions of HIPAA and FERPA. Updated 2024.
