Débora Curella is the Coordinator of Outreach and Engagement, providing trainings, resources, and assistance to bilingual families navigating special education and the systems that support children and youth with disabilities. She first came to the Federation as a parent seeking information and support after one of her children was diagnosed with a disability. After attending FCSN workshops and conferences, she joined the Parent Consultant Training Institute to deepen her knowledge of special education laws and procedures in order to advocate for her son.
Débora holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and an Associate Degree in Visual Arts. She is a LEND Fellow through the UMass Chan Medical School Shriver Center, and is currently pursuing a Master in Public Administration (MPA) in Disability & Health Policy at Suffolk University.
