Kelly Smith

Kelly Smith is the Training Coordinator for Recruitment, Training and Support Center. With over 20 years of experience as a classroom teacher, special education teacher, literacy coach, and staff developer, she has trained educators in effective literacy practices and worked to ensure equitable learning opportunities for students. She most recently used her expertise in the corporate sector as an Instructional Designer, creating asynchronous learning modules. In her current role, she prepares volunteers to serve as surrogate parents at IEP meetings, drawing on her dual perspective as both an educator and a parent of a child with dyslexia.
