Sarah Forster is a speech-language pathologist and a parent to a child with autism. Her clinical experience in early intervention and with children with complex disabilities helped her to understand the impact of disability throughout the lifespan and the intersectional impact of race, trauma and poverty on disability. She has been involved with the Federation for Children with Special Needs through participation in the Parent Consultant Training Institute and as a Special Education Surrogate Parent. She is passionate about helping others understand the importance of identifying and accepting disability, in order to access and navigate necessary supports.
