When a family needs special education support, finding the right advocate or attorney can make all the difference. That is why the Federation for Children with Special Needs has launched the Massachusetts Special Education Advocate and Attorney Directory, a free, searchable resource for parents, caregivers, and the professionals who support them. You can find it any time under Get Help in the fcsn.org menu.

For families: find the right fit

The directory lists special education advocates and attorneys who serve children, families, and adults across Massachusetts. Search by name or keyword, or narrow the list with filters for:

  • Professional type: advocate or attorney
  • Ages served: preschool through adulthood
  • Disability expertise
  • Service area: every region of the state, plus statewide practices
  • Languages spoken
  • Fee range, services offered, and connection options

Filters can be combined, and a map view lets you explore professionals by location. Each profile shows the professional’s background, services, areas of expertise, and contact information, so you can reach out directly. Search the directory.

The directory is a free resource provided by FCSN to help individuals find an advocate or attorney. FCSN does not vet, certify, or guarantee the credentials of the professionals listed, and a listing is not an endorsement. Families are responsible for verifying the licensing and suitability of any professional they hire. The full disclaimer appears on the directory and on every profile.

For advocates and attorneys: help families find you

Through trainings, individual assistance, conferences, and partnerships, FCSN reaches more than 50,000 parents, caregivers, schools, educators, SEPACs, and professionals each year. A directory listing puts your services in front of families seeking support, and the people they turn to for guidance.

  • Expand your reach. Put your expertise in front of families seeking support and the schools and community partners helping them find it.
  • Showcase the support you offer. Highlight your services, areas of expertise, ages served, languages spoken, and service area so families can understand what makes your practice a potential fit.
  • Make the next connection easier. Searchable profiles and filters help parents, caregivers, and the professionals supporting them find services that match their needs.

One valuable directory, three great options

  • Directory Standard Listing ($400 per year): a searchable profile on fcsn.org that showcases your services, contact details, background, and practice areas.
  • Community Partner Discounted Listing ($150 per year): the same featured profile in exchange for 25 hours of volunteer service supporting FCSN’s Community Services team over the year, such as returning family calls, supporting IEP clinics, or taking on a single, time-limited pro-bono case.
  • Directory – Active SESP ($150 per year): active Special Education Surrogate Parents automatically qualify for the discounted rate, as a thank you for their ongoing service.

FCSN reviews every application before a listing is published, and you are only charged if your listing is approved. Learn more and sign up.
