PCTI Course Offerings
Fall 2023 Latino Parent Leadership Program
Dates: Saturday, October 14th – Saturday November 4th
Each fall, the Federation offers a PCTI course in a language other than English. This year, we are offering PCTI in Spanish. This session will begin on Saturday, October 14th in-person at the FCSN office from 9am-3pm. The remainder of the course will be virtual and held on Thursdays from 9am-3pm. We will have a final graduation on Saturday, November 4th.
Annual PCTI Course Offerings (2024 Dates TBA)
8-Week Winter PCTI
Our 8-Week Winter course begins in January and consists of live presentations and discussion 1-2 days a week. We do not meet during February school vacation or the week of the Federation’s Visions of Community Conference. Sessions will be virtual or hybrid, with some opportunities to attend in person. Information regarding the 2024 Winter PCTI will be available this Fall.
5-Day Summer Intensive PCTI
This condensed PCTI session will consist of 5-consecutive full days of presentations and discussion, typically offered during the last week of June.
Summer Asynchronous PCTI
Our Asynchronous PCTI option will provide a self-guided alternative to our live synchronous sessions. This option provides participants with access to presentation recordings (from previous PCTI sessions) and interactive activities in the form of weekly online learning modules made available on the Canvas Learning Platform. Optional live presentations an discussion sessions are provided weekly. This course is typically 6-weeks long and begins in mid-July.
Fall Language Access PCTI
Each fall, the Federation offers a PCTI course in a language other than English. Dates and times of sessions will vary, depending on the needs of the community speaking that language.

NOTE: We highly recommend that PCTI attendees have some familiarity with special education procedures (i.e., FCSN Basic Rights Series Workshops: Evaluation and Eligibility, Understanding the Individualized Education Program, Transition Planning (for ages 14-22). A list of free workshops presented by the Federation can be found by clicking on this link.
PCTI often fills quickly and Registration is required. We recommend registering early. Preference will be given to youth with disabilities and family members of children with special needs. Registration closes one business day prior to class or when the class roster is full.
