Sharren Foster

Sharren is the Administrative Coordinator for the Parent Training Information Center. She completed the Federation’s PCTI training in the summer of 2022. She continued her training by completing the Federation’s internship program, becoming a Parent to Parent program volunteer and a Special Education Surrogate Parent. In April of 2023, she began working part time with the Federation, providing support to families who reach out to the information center for resources and educational support.

Sharren’s passion for supporting families with special needs started with her daughter who was born with a rare genetic syndrome called CHARGE. She volunteers as the MA Family Liaison for the CHARGE Syndrome Foundation and recently began volunteering on the SEPAC for the Perkins School for the Blind where her daughter currently attends school. She is also a volunteer for the Newburyport Commission on Disabilities. She is passionate about helping families navigate the special education system and creating an inclusive environment for everyone. Sharren is very excited to be working for the Federation!
