Description

Parents of infants and toddlers have informal and formal options when they have concerns and complaints related to their child’s early intervention services. These include informal options including discussing their concerns with their service coordinator or the EI program director, requesting and IFSP meeting, or speaking with staff at the Early Intervention Division. Formal options available under the IDEA (filing a formal complaint, having a mediation and filing for a due process hearing are also available to parents at any time. Each option (formal complaint, mediation and due process hearing will be reviewed. There will be opportunities for questions.
